ED Clerk - (Ukiah, CA)
Summary:
Greets, directs, and assists patients and other medical staff members in a professional and courteous manner, always dressed in a professional manner.
Performs inpatient and ED admissions for the hospital.
Gathers and verifies all patient demographics and insurance information.
Performs all clerical/receptionist duties for the emergency room.
Processes and distributes all documentation to the appropriate departments in a timely manner.
Coordinates the communication within the facility and other facilities to assist in the medical care of patients.
Relieves hospital operator and monitors all code phones/alarms.
Completes the Inventory/Ordering of supplies for the department.
Reports directly to the Clerk Supervisor and Emergency Department Director; indirectly to the Patient Financial Services Director.
Qualifications:
Beginning computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite Bilingual ability preferred High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Source:
